For my final year project, I designed a small wind turbine device that can be mounted onto the front vents of an electric vehicle. The product uses the oncoming wind to spin the turbine and produce power for the battery, prolonging the electrical range. There was a need for such a product due to the small electrical range available in the cheaper electric vehicle models, which results in a hesitation to purchase from many drivers. The introduction of this product aims to encourage more drivers to switch to electric, reducing their carbon footprint.
